The Numbers
Don't Lie
Every claim we make is backed by independent testing from Broadband-Testing — Europe's foremost independent network testing facility — using Spirent Axon traffic generators and iTrinegy WAN emulators.
Voice Quality Under Extreme Load
8Mbps emulated WAN link, 500 FTP sessions + 500 HTTP sessions running simultaneously. Then we added voice calls.
Without ViBE — 6 Calls
With ViBE — 6 Calls
Without ViBE — 40 Calls
With ViBE — 40 Calls
Without ViBE — 80 Calls
With ViBE — 80 Calls
Without ViBE — 180 Calls
With ViBE — 180 Calls
The Ultimate Test
180 calls at 50% bandwidth (4Mbps) — ViBE still delivered MOS 4.0, 360/360 calls, and all HTTP sessions completed successfully.
Raw Speed Comparison
100Mbps symmetric link, 100ms RTT. Standard TCP vs ViBE.
Satellite + Packet Loss (500ms RTT, 0.1% loss)
ViBE completed transfers approximately 7x faster than raw TCP.
The Headline Numbers
10Mbps symmetric link, 40ms RTT. Real-world conditions.
400 Calls on a Single Link
Where 30 calls previously failed, ViBE carried 400 simultaneous calls with data capacity to spare. Ping RTT peaked at just 54ms.
1-Second Failover
Standard failover restored all calls in just over one second. With RAIN mode, calls were completely unaffected — zero interruption.
3 TCP Streams Kill 1 Call
Without ViBE, just 3 TCP downloads alongside a single voice call on 10Mbps produced 1.8% packet loss. With ViBE — perfect quality with 10 calls, 10 downloads, and a 3Mbps UDP stream.
ATM/DSL Transformation
20 G.729 calls consumed ~6Mbps effective bandwidth due to overhead. With ViBE, the same link carried 400 calls with data capacity remaining.
Any company from SMB to ISP who wants to be able to optimise bandwidth consumed by a mix of VoIP and data should invest in Voipex's ViBE technology. It really is that much of a no-brainer.
